Other Versions of Contour I love to experiment with a design to see how far I can push the potential. For this pattern I also tried varying the saturation of a colour for each of the 6x paths. Varying from 100% colour to just 5%. This has the effect of the paths progressing from rich colour to practically white. Printed Circuit Board Pattern Design AI describes the design as: A playful geometric pattern inspired by printed circuit boards, with winding tracks, rounded connections and scattered nodes creating an intricate technical rhythm. The Pattern For this pattern I have taken only the gist of the original circuit board. One side of the circuit board has all the components, such as resistors and diodes. The other side shows the metal ends of these components soldered onto the circuit board, which is what this pattern shows. Traces The printed tracks are called Traces. Where each of the components has been soldered onto the traces, I have shown these as white disks. Colouring The Pattern I could have coloured all of the traces the same, but felt a two colour approach might be more appealing as a design. The first colour combination sees red and blue traces. Zipper Pattern AI describes the design as: Zipper is a bold geometric pattern of interlocking curved forms, creating a rhythmic repeat with the playful appearance of an oversized zip. The design is all my own work of course. I enjoy the creative process so it would be pointless to give that to AI to create for me! Introducing Vases pattern AI describes the design as: A playful pattern of overlapping stylised vases in varied shapes, with crisp outlines and translucent forms creating a fresh, mid-century modern feel.
